Mathew Schreiber is one of the founding memebers of Freefall and finds it to be his favorite form of theater. He has trained with Clifford Henderson and Dixie Cox's Fun Institute, True Fiction, Keith Johnstone, Shaun Landry, Asaf Ronen, James Grace, David Razowski and others. As for scripted theater, he trained with Ian McRae and has had the pleasure of being directed by Marcia Taylor in "The Gift" and by Robin Aronson in "The Last Noel." He also enjoys producing original music and sound design for theater and dance productions.

Marian Oliker began studying theater improvisation in 1999 with Clifford Henderson and Dixie Cox and has never stopped. She is a founding member of Freefall Improvisational Theater. Her early training was as a dancer, with a BA in Dance from UCSC and has studied theater with Greg Fritsch, Nina Wise, and many others. She is currently in private practice as a psychotherapist and is the author/ performer of the much-loved solo show, "Mariama: A Tale of Freedom and Grace." As a dance teacher, social worker, and improviser Marian is happiest when risking everything for one authentic moment.

April Green holds a BA in Theatre Arts from Bethany College where she was awarded Dramatist of the Year. After college, she held an acting internship with the Lexington Childrens' Theatre in Kentucky teaching and performing for kids. Over the last nine years she has enjoyed her many roles in various community productions and improv shows around Santa Cruz. She loves her Freefall family who push her to develop this wildly satisfying craft. When she is not on stage April loves to hike in the mountains, play guitar, travel and cook.

Bob Giges’ fascination with improv has traversed the arts: He’s improvised jazz as a string bass performer, explored modern/contact dance’s spontaneous inventions, and has studied and performed theater improv for over three decades. His acting improv teachers have included Wilma Marcus Chandler (Cabrillo College), Cliff Henderson/Dixie Cox (Fun Institute), and Greg Fritsch (UCSC); he’s workshopped with Keith Johnstone, Asaf Ronen, True Fiction Magazine members (especially Diane Rachel, Regina Saisi, Barbara Scott) among many others. Bob has taught theater improvisation in UCSC’s Summer Session since 2006. Co-authored with Theater Arts Professor Edward Warburton, Bob’s article on dance and digital media in the February 2010 issue of Leonardo (MIT Press) touches on the audience’s involvement in improvised performance. Bob has performed with Freefall since its inception and continues to find it to be a wild, thrilling ride.
